A Teachers' Orientation Camp for senior teachers completing 12 years of service in VKVs of Assam and Nagaland was conducted with the focus on Team building and devolopment of leadership quality. Sri Arvind Gore, an eminent educationalist from Pune, was the main resource person in the camp. A Hindi Language workshop for the parents of VKV Dhemaji benifited 80 participating parents on 18th August 2014.

A Mathematics Workshop for teachers of Primary Section of VKVs was conducted with the focus on learning teaching methods so as to stregthen the base of students in Class-VI. Dr. P.K. Chaurasia, Associate Professor, Department of Education (Science), Regional Institute of Education, was the resource person in the camp on2nd -4th Auguest 2014;42 Teacher VKV Dibrugarh

On 17th July 2014, Mr. B.K. Boruah, ED, Asset Manager (Assam Aset), ONGC Nazira laid the foundation stone of ONGC sponsored building in VKV Sivsagar. Along with him Mr. S.L. Purohit, DGM, CSR, ONGC, Nazira and Mr. S.c. Sinha, CE (D), ONGC Nazira too attended the ceremony.

A 7-day Workshop, under the aegis of academy for New Education and Sri Aurobindo Society of India, was held at Nainital with the theme 'Good Teacher, Good Pupil'. The workshop focused on 'How a good teacher and a good pupil can make a country better'. The participants from different parts of the country joined the workshop.

Sri Rajiv Barman, a teacher of VKV (NEEPCO) Umrangso and Sri Gautam Koiri, Teacher, VKV Ramnagar, Silchar represented VKSPV in the Camp on 22nd to 28th June 2014; Nainital.

The annual Personality Devolopment Camp was organised for the students of Class VI at every VKV under VKSPV from 10th to 14th June 2014. Various important topics bearing upon five-fold peronality devolopment of students were dealt with in these camps.

VKV Sadiya was inaugurated on the World Environment Day with Ganapati Puja. A few distinguished guests present on the occasion were Dr. Lakshmanan S., IAS, SDO (Civil), Sadiya and Dr. Dhananjay P. Ghanawat, IPS, Additional SP, Chapakhowa, Sadiya among others. About 300 persons attended the programme. The highlights of the inaugural function were: Rabha Dance, Rabindra Sangeet, Patriotic Song and a plantation programme. Sri. Keshab Sing Limboo, son of Late Gopal Singh Limboo, Ex-President of NEA School Society laid the foundation of one room in memory of his father.
