Various Celebrations at (Neepco) Doyang
National Youth Day was celebrated in school conducting programmes for two days. On 11th January 2019 students showcased a cultural programme on the stage of NRC, DHEP and NEEPCO. The programme was graced by Sri P.B. Das, HOP, DHEP, NEEPCO and a few numbers of dignitaries from NEEPCO office and CISF. Around 600 audiences enjoyed the programme.
On 12th January 2019 programme of Puspanjali to Swamiji was started at 7.00 am at No. – III colony. Mr. Sunil Rawat, Asstt. Commandant, CISF Unit, DHEP lit the ceremonial lamp. A gathering of 215 people offered Pushpanjali on the portrait of Swamiji. The Marathon race was the prime programme in the second phase which was flagged off by the Chief Guest Mr. Sunil Rawat, Asstt. Commandant, CISF Unit, DHEP, Doyang at 7.30 a.m. Apart from our present students a good number of Participants were CISF Jawans, parents, ex-students and teachers. 200 participants took part enthusiastically in the race. A prize distribution was held after the race which was graced by Mr. Prasenjit Phookan, DGM, DHEP, and NEEPCO as Chief Guest. Light refreshment was arranged for all the participants in the school campus.
Republic Day Celebration & Rani Gaidinliu Jayanti
The 70th Republic Day was celebrated in the school campus with patriotic fervour. The tri colour was hoisted by Principal of the school and followed by National Anthem. The Principal presented her motivational address on the Republic Day. Two patriotic songs were performed by two groups of students. One of our students Siddika Begum Talukdar of Class – IX delivered a speech on ‘Rani Gaidinliu’. The programme concluded with the Shantipath and distributed chocolate among students.
At around 8.30 am students and teachers participated a common programme held in NEEPCO IB where a group of students presented a beautiful patriotic song.
Saraswati Puja
10th February 2019 was the day of Saraswati puja which was celebrated in school with devotional fervour. The Principal of the school, all the teachers and students performed the puja guided by a priest. Near about 500 devotees including students and parents offered puspanjali and took part in community lunch. The evening of the day was observed as ‘Bhajan Sandhya’ participated by parents, students and teachers.
